I had a huge revelation yesterday that it really IS okay to be flawed.
Think about that for a moment, okay?
Yesterday I had a convo with a good friend of mine who alas is paralyzed by analysis/paralysis. Wants to support his family online…. but is too scared to take that first step.
Thing is, by NOT taking said step, nothing happens!
Now, me…. well, I am not perfect whatsoever…
But I DO get things done.
Usually, that is.
But now, not only havent I gotten my Bitcoin thingee out…
…. but I also didn’t get out my Black Friday goodie either!!
Now its very tempting for me to get down on myself (which I did a bit….)
… but I then realized, Hey.
Flawed that I might be, at least I do eventually get things done!

It’s okay to be flawed. Especially because the lessons you end up taking away from that generally will gift you with knowledge to keep you strong in the future.

Time time time time.
It heals lots of things.
Especially anger, disappointment, fear….
It really can.
I wrote this yesterday:
“This is something you *so* need to internalize.
If you disagree with someone, stating your disagreement aggressively or one-sidedly (new word!) or what have you…. is virtually guaranteed to shut down the listening abilities of those you want to convince.
If you see someone hurting, reaching out asking how they’re doing… *that*’s virtually guaranteed of making a hugely positive impact on your audience…. one that will never be forgotten as the years roll on.
This one of the most important things I so desire to pass on to my kids.”
Why is that?
Well, as time continues, ideally get educated bigtime about how your attitudes can affect/defect people your life….. and you realize when things are hurtful, and when things are grand.
Yesterday, took the husband out for lunch and then mangoes (yes, we are truly an exciting pair) and then got more and more buy buttons done for my latest (hopefully going live today).
And I also realized that whenever anger/emotions cloud my business these days, it’s something I own.
Nobody else.
I give other people permission to buy rent-free space in my mind.
So yesterday, I expressed my appreciation for the husband once more . I am truly lucky that after all the years we’ve been together…
… we’ve become stronger than before.
It’s like I wrote before:
Your takeaway? People do NOT grow at YOUR prompting.
They grow at theirs. To wit:
“For those parents with character-building kids (yours truly included).
Here’s what helped me. I used to always tell my husband that you cannot force a child to bloom before said child is ready.
And then during last year, my husband got very interested in researching the frontal lobe development of kids/teens. In a nutshell, its non-existent.
Okay not true but the point remains – it takes kids time to mature. And while they’re maturing, they’ll do the dippy/stupid/irrational/rude/unappreciative/argumentive/etc. behavior such creatures are prone to, again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again until… they stop.
Only when *their* brains mature to the point where something besides dippy/stupid/irrational/rude/unappreciative/argumentive/etc. behaviors kick in…. well, until then, us parents suffer thru it.
What is hysterical to me (“hysterical” as in, oh lookie, I just lost the last 39847573 hours of my Word doc revisions), is that I constantly reminded my husband about blooming wrt our youngest.
He’s now reminding me about it wrt to the other kid.
In other words…. kid must find their own way. We cannot lay it out.
I will admit, it helped me greatly in addressing my negative reactions.

OMG. The amount of character-building I am going thru could write epic novels.
It really can.
I owe SO MUCH to my husband, I really do.
He’s more than a decade older than me and when it comes to wisdom…. what he has to share is the stuff of self-help goodness (before the Infomercial destroyed the industry).
The main thing I go from it….
Kids bloom at their own time.
And truly…. you cannot for such growth ahead of time.
This has helped me greatly in a parenting group…. when I shared that (plus more info), it really helped my readers as well.
So yay!
the husband also reflected back to me – at my age (hint NOT 28 anymore) it takes the body a long time to heal, and forcing THAT is the basis of all idjutness.
I think I’m in the process of Internalizing that as well.

Went to the surgeon yesterday to get my stitches out:
And that worked very well indeed.
Went with the husband to visit my youngest at boarding school (such amazing cafeteria food)….
…. and I’m realizing:
Watching kids grow from afar is interesting.
I’m also realizing that as I get older, I get ‘WAY less patient as well, but can intellectually understand how kids need to mature on their own.
‘Twas hysterical to hear my parenting philosophy parroted back to me by my husband (aka, kids grow at their own rate and you cannot force them to flower).
Sigh. Know what I mean?
Got home after 6.5 hours and then it took about 5 hours to fall asleep as well.
Ah well, the joys of parenting!
Workwise, I was all set to go live with my Bitcoin thingee and then realized… yep.
Black Friday!
Need to do that one too!
More…. WAH.
So that will be on my schedule for tonight.
One OTHER thing I did, however, was indulge in my latest interest, Star Trek: Discovery.
Have you watched it yet?
Forget about any comparisons with past Star Treks. I’ve always found that new Star Treks end up developing their own presence and power, and you just end up losing that appreciation if you cry, NOT FAIR! Not Same!

I posted in both groups yesterday. Gave my input on Saru:
“What won it for me was this exchange:
“Are you afraid of me?” “I am not. I *am* angry at you. Angry because of how much you stole from me. I am deeply jealous that I never got the chance you had.”
The dialog, the delivery, the sheer laying open your agonizing, *private* pain…. – *topnotch*.
Add to that it gives me some powerful insights to some of my own actions in my past….. and yep. Fan for life, I would say.”
And my take on the Tardigrade:
“I’m adoring Star Trek Discover and found Episode 5 to be amazing beyond words (especially the last scene with Burnham and Saru).
But here’s something I can’t figure out…
Can someone please fill me in on what *really* happened on the Glenn?
1.) The Glenn had dried shroomies/spores and was experimenting with the Mycelium network.
2.) The Tardigrade somehow gets onto the ship, searching for his spores. Did he materialize there? Was the ship docked and the Tardigrade moseyed on board?
3.) The scientists of the Glenn discover the Tardigrade and somehow figure out a connection between Ripper and the spores. They transport Ripper into their own containment cage.
4.) They perfect the machinery to interact with Ripper and jump. Ripper, however, is not pleased, and bashes his way out to destroy the insides of the Glenn ship. Then he moves to lower decks where the spores are stored.
However, that doesn’t make sense either, because the Captain of the ship mentions Ripper is already found in the lower decks.
So my question:
Just what destroyed the Glenn? And how did Ripper play into the timeline?”
