Ah yes, it’s Tuesday!
SO incredibly late I am (after 10am!).
Sigh.
I seriously was NOT going to do this morning newsletter…
… because I woke up like I was run over by your local friendly neighborhood Mack truck. Not doing well at all.
Pulled myself together, mind you, and wrote this:
=-=-= Dragging Yourself To Acts of Greatness =-=-=
Ever wake up feeling like the entirety of not only your marketing business…
… but also that of your family’s security….
… is crushing down your very being with the force of 934792 jumbo jets (laden with coconuts, I might add)?
If so, you’re definitely not alone, because it happens ‘way more often than you might think.
You never hear about these issues, mind you, because some folks only will post their highlight reels to social media, letting their fans think their lives are as joyously perfect as a whole herd of rainbow unicorns, eagerly prancing to do your will for you!
It’s never true, you know.
Chances are, at least one time in someone’s life, despair can really overwhelm them, and make it hugely difficult to move ahead.
If that’s you, here’s some things that help.
* Inspirational music. Now, your take on inspiration music, and my take, probably are 2 separate, distinct, non-intersecting entities. And that’s perfectly fine.
Pick some music that just by listening to it… reminds you of happier times past, gets your emotions moving towards a positive direction, and the like.
Then use sites like
and listen to them as long as necessary.
You’d be surprised how that can help move your emotions to the positive category.
Next:
* Exercise. If you can’t get to the gym, and you don’t have an exercise machine in your home… go outside and walk about your house 2 times.
Even 3!
That little bit of exertion (getting dressed, putting on sneakers, etc.) might be enough to permit you to let go of your negative mindspace and get productive again.
Next:
* Listen to those people on YouTube who inspire you! Alas, I have no suggestions there, as I only listen on youtube for music. But, I’m positive there must be folks whose words can help lift your spirits.
Next:
* Religion. True, that sounds really odd, especially coming me, but I have heard that people who believe in various religions take comfort to the particular teachings they learn. So if that’s what can center you, more power to you!
Next:
* Meds. You might have a clear-cut case of depression… and only medication can help combat the unevenness of your brain chemistry right now. That’s fine! Meds are grand if they can help bring you back to the level of production you used to once possess.
In closing, how DO you drag yourself to greatness?
You recognize what is happening to you, and give yourself permission to start healing *yourself*.
Nobody will do it for you.
It doesn’t matter if you achieve perhaps 3% of what you normally do…
Go out and start getting it done.
You really DO deserve that self-care.

Then I figured, okay, put my words into action.
And here I am!
Yesterday I did 7 FB lives on how to make money with April Fools Day and FB Live.
Why?
Because in a few months, I’ll be updating my guide on that…
And I figured having some case studies would be very helpful indeed!
What was also fun was I basically gave myself permission to be rather:
- unkept (read – didn’t calm my hair down from bedrest)
- rather esoteric (read- I simply said what was on my mind)
And other fun things. Guaranteed, they will ALL be in my FB Live Empire update!

* The idea we’re adults now and have no time for it

I will admit…
I did not resonate with most of the ideas, but this one is stellar and knocks it out of the park:
“Try the 30 Circles Test
This great creative exercise comes from researcher Bob McKim, and is featured in Tim Brown’s TED talk Creativity and Play.
Take a piece of paper and draw 30 circles on the paper. Now, in one minute, adapt as many circles as you can into objects. For example, one circle could become a sun. Another could become a globe. How many can you do in a minute? (Take quantity over quality into consideration.)
The result: Most people have a hard time getting to 30, largely because we have a tendency as adults to self-edit. Kids are great at simply exploring possibilities without being self-critical, whereas adults have a harder time. Sometimes, even the desire to be original can be a form of self-editing. Don’t forget-good artists copy, great artists steal. ”
While I totally disagree with that last statement, this is is a gem:

That idea of NOT being self-critical…
Well, that leads to NOT second-guessing yourself which leads to NOT analysis/paralysis which DOES lead to…
