Where was I?

Ah yes, Tuesday!

But first:

Did you know that human beings have a shorter attention span than fossilized clams?

Probably not, as I just made that up.

Hmmmm.

Let me Google it instead!

Don’t blame me, that’s what Google suggested I search on. After all, what is life unless I can blame others for my actions?

Dramatically less clear if you read the entire article (it turns out the statement that humans have a lesser attention span than your local goldfish is coffee grounds, ie, bunk.)

Hysterically amusing. Aka:

As you’ll see if you read the BBC article… ’tis … ummmm…. *fascinating*.

But I digress!

Well, I digress long enough to read:

“In fact, humans process visuals 60,000 times faster than text, which is quite significant when you consider that you only have eight seconds to get your message across.”

And *that* gem fired up my neurons because bunches of marketers use that claim in their sales pages… and I remember once being curious enough to research it. That claim stems from a 2 page 3M report back in 1997.

Sigh. Whoever wrote this visual eMail Marketing post… probably picked up typical marketing claims to insert. It’s standard practice, really.

However, the *rest* of the article is really quite good.

So back to yesterday.

Alas yesterday was YADONO (yet another day of non optimalness).

Good news is that my youngest is an absolute delight to have at home.

The kid has been hugely helpful. And also very insightful and (in this one case) FAR more mature than the 16.5 year old sibling.

Wow. Even typing that looks weird. Kids grow SO MUCH.

But anywhos, yesterday was ALSO the day of a zillion toothaches (infected gum/filling) so I was basically out of commission. 🙁

Still a zillion toothaches but I’ve taken enough meds to hopefully hold that in place.

Today, GYM! MUST BE GYM!

Famous.

Words.

But I’ll get there eventually….

It didn’t crash! Still glad I held onto my bitcoins because I would think this insanity HAS to crash but who knows.
