And over here in Lingland, kids have off today and you know what that means….
Metals recycle! Well, ideally… one kid pulled an all-nighter for robotics. That kid should be arriving sometime in the morning but still…. chores are chores.
And! Mo, the mowing PiggyMoose (guinea pig) sees the vet today – methinks he is developing an abscess (wah!) and I’d really like to avoid what happened the last time… happening again. Very messy if it erupts; I hope to get it drained before hand.
And the 2016 elections! Is it so much to ask for a candidate who focuses on real issues instead of the reality TV stuff we’ve been seeing? Ryan Holiday (one of the powers behind the rise of Food Babe, who is one of the most vile fear-mongers online), wrote up a great piece as to how the election is already virtually guaranteed over at askbling.com/ryan1 .
What’s truly terrifying is it shows just how the media can manipulate the public while ignoring hard cold FACTS (ie, gaining the majority of the 270 electoral votes required).
Scary stuff. 🙁

To all those who celebrated Thanksgiving, I hope you had a splendid holiday indeed!
Over here in the States, we had the delightful Presidential debates. I truly despair for our country. In social media, I see friends threatening to unfriend due to political beliefs…. have we really become that fragile that we cannot tolerate other people thinking differently from ourselves?
I truly just don’t get it.
Elsewhere in Lingland, I gave into sleep… so didn’t take the kids out to celebrate yesterday. However, Honorable Son #1 was sick to begin with… so I dosed him with ramen and let him just chill in his room (was doing ‘way better by the evening) and my youngest went swimming with the husband (yay for exercise!).
I’m back awake now and ready to tackle the world.
