Where was I?
Ah yes, Tuesday!
I think I’m alive still. Slept until 4am, got up to write this, debating about sleeping afterwards….
But first:
=-=-= Gratitude Part II =-=-=
Ever go thru something that rips your soul apart and leaves you bruised and battered….
… and the only person who can save/help you, is just… you? ‘Lil ‘ole you?
On this last day of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, I’ve been a’thunkin’ on the extremely bizarre twists and turns my life has taken.
This past decade saw me:
* Losing 50 pounds
* Getting into the best physical shape I’ve ever been (mid-40s rocked!)
* Earning a black belt in Goju-ryu karate
* Surviving raising my eldest until college called (suffice it to say we differed a wee bit as to her life choices… but wow oh wow, did she ever turn out to be correct!)
* Gaining and losing awesome friendships
* Presenting at events
* Seeing my ankle fall off at events (okay 1 event) and then get fused
* Massive disagreements with my husband about various kid issues
* Streamlining the art of Cheatsheets to break 20k (Pokemon FTW!)
etc.etc.etc.etc.
And you know something?
Even knowing how much I got splattered across the universe because of some actions/adventures….
… I wouldn’t change a single thing.
I like believing that everything we go thru is our Guardian Angel’s way of saying, yo tweeblehead… I can’t seem to get thru to you in any other way, so prepare to have life kick you in the teeth!…..
And so every agonizing smooshilation you endure… well, it gives you an insight into the *real* you (if you have the courage to face it)… and *that* can enable you to level up as you evolve into the person you’re meant to become.
Sure there were some truly hellish experiences.
Some of them could have destroyed me.
But they didn’t.
They honed me instead.
Your takeaway?
When life kicks you in the teeth, do this.
After the pain passes, and when you give yourself permission to have the courage to truly *learn* from whatever fallout crushed you ….
You will be able to look back, connect the dots, and see just what you can achieve in the future… because of the trial by fire you endured today.
Like Steve Jobs said:
“You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.”
And somehow in my life… they always have.

Growing older is NOT for the faint of heart!
Yesterday saw the husband and me driving 94875048 miles and taking our youngest back to the boarding school. I might have mentioned how the kid inherited NVLD from me (non-verbal learning disorder)… methinking sending the kid away to there (which was the kid’s choice) was really really really smart. Kid is growing beautifully. Much more mature than I was at that age…. so cool.

It’s definitely an excellent read! To duplicate it in email, the EVIL are the problems your customers fact… and the GOOD is the solution your customers see in your call to action.
