On Sunday, I watched Star Trek Discovery, that second-to-last episode.
And one part shows Stamets terraforming a dead moon into….
… something beautiful (in this case, growing more spores so Discovery can jump to Kronos … but I digress).
Burnham tells Tyler:
“…We created something beautiful today in a desolate wasteland that had never seen life,” Michael tells Ash. If the Discovery can do that, anything is possible….”
Think about that for a moment.
Can YOU create something beautiful out of thin air?
As marketers, it’s our duty to create beauty from the products we devise (and if not beauty, then functionality, wisdom, knowledge and the like).
It’s the same if you’re a blogger….

Yesterday was the second-to-last episode for Star Trek: Discovery!!!
AND OMG OMG OMG….
…. glorious it was indeed. Still utterly thrilled…..
… and knowing me, well, you know… I probably won’t fall asleep for hours yet…
So I’m writing this on Sunday eve, and will schedule it to out tomorrow (at least, that’s the plan. 🙂 )
Thing is…
Toenail clippers.
This evening saw me basically on bedrest and running my business from my laptop.
And since I was in bed, my right toenail decided to imitate Godzilla and catch on one of my blankets.
Alas, that was the 386380763 pound weighted blanket (you know, those things that are marketed like “it feels like being hugged all night!”).
Well, first off, no, it does NOT feel that way whatsoever.
However, the 15 pound blanket does give a uniform weightyness… that actually is rather nice.
Unless your toenail catches it and starts a WWE frantic bout to see who would win.
One ripped toenail later, the answer was obvious… so to the rescue came my handy-dandy toenail clippers (much to the relief of my poor beaten downtrodden toe).
You know, reading the above, admit it… it’s an exciting story because you know…
I was able to avoid being in a (wait for it)…
ToeAwayZone!
