Actually, it’s Tuesday. Yep… another superbly character-building day but hey, these things happen!
Thing is:
Being really dumb Part 2.
That was me again!
And I wrote about it yesterday:

Ever wish you could be soooo dumb, reality TV shows would start a bidding war regarding your unearthly talent and build an entire heart-breaking series around you?
Or sooo dumb that the National Council for Unexplained Stupidity could be founded just for the sake of exploiting your glorious failure for the world to see?
Well!
Chances are… probably not.
And when you’re more idjutlike than a moose determined to ice-skate over Niagra Falls during a heatwave….
… you probably won’t choose to advertise that fact, right?
Heck… one of the most frustrating things about social media is society’s huge dependence upon seeing how dazzling *other* people’s lives must be (leading to you feeling miserably deflated because *your* life’s experience make Deadpool’s transformation into a mutant seem like a trip to Disneyworld, leading you to buy whatever comfort thingee that promises you a solution to your angst (yay marketing) and and and ….
But I digress.
Most folk want to hide in embarrassment whenever their decision-making skills rival those of toddlers who consumed the contents of MovieTheater candy in 4 seconds.
I, however, view it as a angelic opportunity to pass on what I’ve learned.
I’m unique that way. 
So!
Today, I was really really REALLY dumb.
Let’s just say that today’s level of character-buildingness exceeded even my tolerance point, so I:
1.) Indulged in comfort candy (I should buy stock in whoever makes Nerds candy)
2.) Did NOT go to the gym (!!!)
3.) Spent most of the day in bed grumbling to myself, finishing off my launch prep (Thursday is going to shine!), eating so blindingly stupid that Richard Simmons would never forget me
So where am I going with this post?
I knew *exactly* that how I chose to deal with my issues was *dumb*.
Really, really really REALLY dumb.
Mindblowingly dumb.
Staggeringly stupid.
Supremely shortsighted.
But I still did it anyway because f8ck everything – if I wanted to torch my health and sanity, it was my own right to do so!!
And yep, I will be paying for it bigtime come tomorrow.
Ah well, these things happen.
You know what else happens?
Whenever you commit to exercise stupendously senseless idjut-toticly foolish actions…
*Take ownership of them*
People did NOT cause you do to them.
You *chose* to react in whatever blindingly nutty fashion you did.
You have *agency*. You have *ownership.*
If you f*cked up, alrighty then, you f*cked up.
The world won’t come crashing down.
And hopefully, the result of your indulgence will be a personal acceptance of whatever caused your self-destructive behavior….
… and when you’re done, you can regroup, rebound, and make things even better in your life.
Your takeaway?
Life *happens.*
And sometimes you choose personal self-destructive behaviors as a way to cope.
So long as you keep that in check, you’ll wake up the next day feeling drained…
… but also feeling like you’re ready to rebound.
And that, of course is a Very Good Thing indeed!

Actually, it’s Monday. Yep… another superbly character-building day but hey, these things happen!
Thing is:
Being really dumb.
That was me.
And I wrote about it yesterday:

It’s always easy to come across as an expert.
You know what’s even easier?
Determining your foot needs a bit more cooking, after you inserted it bigtime into your mouth.
I just had a convo where my words were mis-interpreted.
And when that was pointed out to me, I was mortified I could have been that thoughtless/cloddish/justAllAroundDumb.
So you know what I did?
I apologized.
Why?
Because I own the fact I didn’t tailor my words to the group I was in.
Your takeaway?
There is no dishonor in unintentionally speaking really really opposite-of-smartly.
But there IS a *huge* dishonor if you refuse to admit your mistake.
I’ve seen in the past:
* My colleagues refusing to apologize when caught in a lie.
* My acquaintances refusing to consider they might be putting their words into the minds of those around them… and expecting they passed Mind Reading 101.
* My mom refusing to apologize even if she *knew* that refusal was hurting her kid.
Your takeaway?
Be honest. Be authentic. And be willing to apologize when you’re 140% (anything from 1% to 10000000%) in the wrong.
It’s what winners *do*.

Actually, it’s Sunday. Heck of a day… and ideally, I plan on sleeping late on Monday, so I’m writing the newsletter now.

Handling heck.
Here’s what I wrote about it:

Ever have life backfist you in the teeth to the point that you simply feel totally helpless?
Unable to kick fate in the right direction?
Totally immobilized by the ghosts of your past?
I’ve seen several posts alluding to that these days (although admittedly, they all possessed a distinctive lack of Kaijuness), and you know what I recommend in such cases?
Climb into your mental Jaeger and don’t forget you have a sword!
In other words:
Chances are, there’s a weeeee bit of a possibility that when you feel all is irrevocably lost…
… you’ve forgotten the fact that as of today, you’ve survived 100% of your past Worst Days EVER!
This will be no different.
Wait, hang on – there *will* be one smidgen of a difference…
And it’s this.
You’ll give yourself permission to realize that just because all seems lost at this very second…. a *new* second comes, one second later.
And then one second tumbles on by later after that.
In other words – the future is *always* in motion and the past is just that.
The *past*.
Remember, so long as you are above ground, the odds are tilted greatly in your favor.
So how do you not only survive… but build up to actually thrive?
==> You take things one day at a time. <==
Or one hour at a time.
Or heck, even one minute at a time!
You patch yourself up with whatever mental/physical duct tape works the best (for me, it’s binging on either The Last Jedi or Pacific Rim, while dining on the finest of Chinese take-out (spare ribs) and also Nerds candy) and you tell yourself:
==> “Self, I’ve *got* this.” <==
Sure, you might think you’re lying to yourself but you know something?
Personal white lies (this one time!) assist you in *letting go* of the helpless feelings…
… and can give you time and opportunity to actually rally your energies and hope and get yourself *mentally* into a better place … starting today.
(one suggestion though – because everyone has failed mind-reading 101, do give a headsup to the people who love you the most, about what you’re going thru. Communications shine!).
In closing, you *always* have the ability to cancel the Apocalyse.
You simply need to give yourself permission to start.
